12th University Signs On to Popular McCabe University Program
And University of Texas Makes a Dozen

CRANSTON, RI - McCabe Software announces the enrollment of the University of Texas at Dallas into the McCabe University Program, making it the twelfth University to join.  As a participant in the program, the University’s Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science was provided with the full commercial version of the McCabe IQ Enterprise Edition, McCabe’s flagship Software Quality Management solution. 

The University of Texas will use McCabe IQ Enterprise Edition in student projects to introduce professional software engineering tools and testing techniques.  Located on the Dallas campus, the Department of Computer Science has taken a leading role in the university’s ambition to become a top-ranked research university.

“We find McCabe IQ is a very powerful tool, making application data collection much easier. In particular, measurements using the Cyclomatic Complexity, Halstead Metrics, fan in, fan out, and other design and integration metrics are very important indicators in identifying software fault-prone modules.”, says Eric Wong, Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas.  “We thank McCabe Software for providing us with the tool.”

The McCabe University Program is McCabe Software's initiative to put their products into the hands of leading computer engineering programs.  The University of Texas has joined eleven other McCabe University participants including Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Tennessee, the University of Louisville, and the University of Dayton, among others.

The McCabe IQ Enterprise Edition, which the University receives via participation in the program, is a multi-language software quality management solution.
